The Anesthesiology Technician will work cooperatively with the Anesthesia Tech Supervisor & Lead Anesthesia Tech to provide support for anesthesiologists and anesthesia providers caring for patients during surgical procedures and non-surgical sedations at CHLA. Also, will provide care based on the age and developmental needs of the patient. Demonstrates commitment to the CHLA family centered model of care.
Qualifications: AA degree in Biomedical electronics OR 2 years of post secondary education/training with emphasis in the sciences and 1 year of work experience in electronics service, maintenance and repair OR 2 years experience as an Anesthesia Tech 1, Paramedic, Laboratory Technician or equivalent. At least two year experience as an anesthesia tech. With pediatric clinical experience preferred. Knowledge of age and developmental needs of the patient.
License, Registration or Certification Required: Obtains and maintains certification as Anesthesia Technologist or Anesthesia Technician from the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologist within one year of hire. Maintains competence and professional development. Maintains license, certification or registration as required.
